Lily's first Day of School

Today was Lily's first day of Kindergarten. She looked so cute. Chad hugged her this morning before we left and said have a good day Lily you'll do great and then turned around to me crying and hugged me and said have a good day Mommy you'll do great too. Ha ha It maybe a little silly but I think every mom is there to vouge for me in saying that it's hard when your baby's grow up. I dropped Lily off this morning and hugged and kissed her goodbye. I cried like a baby when I got into my car. Chad and I both picked her up today and she was excited about her day. She loved her homework tonight which with years I'm sure will change:) She has to read every night for 20 minutes. She gets to pick out two books from her teacher every day to bring home to read. She enjoyed every moment of it and was smiling from ear to ear when she sounded out the word and got it. Lincoln enjoyed reading along too and thought he was big stuff just like big sis.

The night before Kindergarten.......

Grandma VH bought Lily this book that is called The night before Kindergarten. I read the book to her before she went to bed of course Lincoln jumped up half way through the story. It was a really cute book. I've been a little emotional with Lily going to school, I just can't believe she is old enough to go. It really seems like yesterday she was a baby. At the end of the book it talks about moms and dads getting all teary eyed and of course I lost it after I was done reading. I hugged Lily and told her that I wasn't crying because I was sad but happy for her and that I couldn't believe that my first baby was growing up so fast. She kinda of looked at me like mom your silly but hugged me anyways and said I love you Mommy. Before I had Lily I didn't know how wonderful it was going to feel to have someone call me Mommy. Even though Lily is growing so fast and it's a little sad it's so rewarding to see her grow.

Kindergarten Orientation

This past Friday Lily had her Kindergarten Orientation. Chad and I took her out for breakfast beforehand and then went off to her school. She toured the building with the other kids while Chad and I sat in the room with her teacher Mrs. Sullivan while she told us about her class and the school. It sounds as if Lily is going to have a great time this school year as Mrs. Sullivan has many exciting things planned for them.

Ice Skating

Lily saw ice skating on TV and said Mom can I do that. So I looked around the area for ice skating lessons and found some pretty close. She loves it so far. She has had two classes, they are on Saturday mornings. She is doing great too, better than I could. Maybe she'll be the next olympic figure skating champion.

Just the Guys

Chad took Lincoln to his first baseball game a couple of Friday's ago. Linc was so excited to go. They had so much fun together. They ate chicken tenders and fries, popcorn and peanuts. Lincoln and Daddy got matching hats and Lincoln came home with a baseball. He was disappointed at first because he thought he was going to go down on the field, Chad had to keep explaining that they weren't playing just watching.

Hanging out with friends

A few weeks ago my friend Amanda, Sarah, and I got together with our kids. We had a nice time catching up and the kids had fun playing.

Lincoln and Evan

Evan and Ember came over a couple of weeks ago while Brit had a photo shoot. Lincoln enjoyed playing with Evan.

Lily's 5 year pictures

Britni took Lily's Birthday pictures this year. As usual Britni did a wonderful job!! All the pictures turned out so cute. Lily does a great job being photographed. I loved the outfit we picked out this year. I got those leg warmers on etsy.com. The new rage is to wear them on your arms or your legs. Lily sported both styles. Britni also took a few pictures of Lydia too because she also had leg warmers on that matched Lily's. I still can't believe that Lily is 5, she looks so grown up in her pictures.

Luau Party

Luau Birthday Party

This year we had a Luau birthday party for Lily. It was fun, people wore lei's, grass skirts and hawaiian shirts. I made Lily a flip flop cake this year and I also made an angel food cake dessert in a sand pail. I love throwing parties for my kids, it's always so much fun to do. I sometimes get a little crazy though because I always want things to be perfect, oh well I just want the best for my babies!!

Birthday supper

Lily chose to go to BW3's for her birthday supper. She was allowed to take one friend with her and of course chose Ava. She had mini corn dogs and potatos with cheese. I also made her her favorite cheese cake. After supper we put candles in the cheese cake and sang happy birthday to her. Notice I took a picture of the cake after we took our pieces out because I couldn't find my camera at first and I thought that I left it at home. I was happy when I found it but sad because I didn't get any of her blowing her candles out.

Lily's 5th Birthday

August 4th was Lily's 5th birthday. I still can't believe that she is 5. Where does the time go?? This year we got Lily a radio with a Hannah Montana CD, a Barbie scooter, and an outfit. She loved her presents. She sings and dances in her room to her music and scoots around real well on her scooter.
